The vision for Empire Real Estate School finds its roots in the cherished memories of my parents, Louis and Pauline; Noni & Juju; Facchini. They were not just loving parents but also the heart and soul of our family, nurturing us within the walls of their red house in Ansonia, Connecticut.
When they passed, they willed their iconic red house to their children. At that time, my lifelong dedication to education led me to undertake the Principles and Practices real estate course, transforming me into a realtor, and ultimately sparing me and my siblings from hefty commission fees.
My brother joined forces to renovate and refurbish our family home, and
during this process, we began on a cathartic healing journey that unearthed a trove of precious family artifacts, each a source of cherished memories.
As I ventured into the realm of real estate, I found myself selling not only my parent home but also those of their neighbors, relatives, and friends. The demand grew, and I embraced this new found role as an active realtor wholeheartedly. With a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, more than 35 years of experience as a school administrator, and an enduring passion for education, I took the leap to establish Empire Real Estate School.
The choice of the name Empire Real Estate School was an homage to my mother's legendary homemade apple pie, made with the finest Empire apples. The sweet, nostalgic aroma of cinnamon and apples wafting
through the air as it baked symbolized the essence of a happy home—a feeling I sought to replicate for every family I served. My mission extends beyond merely selling homes; it’s about imparting knowledge and skills to others, empowering them to embark on a lucrative career in real estate.
At Empire Real Estate School, we aspire to create not just realtors but knowledgeable professionals who understand the sanctity of a home and the joy it can bring. Join us in this endeavor, and together, let's shape futures and build dreams.
To share a taste of the warmth and happiness that filled our home, I'd like to pass on Noni's famous apple pie recipe:
Noni's Apple Pie
Ingredients & Equipment
9 Empire Apples
6 teaspoons of Stevia sugar
1 package of Pillsbury Pie Crust (2 counts per package)
Milk
Cinnamon (to taste)
Large mixing bowl
Pie plate
Oven preheated to 350ºF
Directions
1. Begin by peeling and coring the apples, cutting them into thin slices, and placing them in
the mixing bowl.
2. Gently mix in the Stevia sugar and cinnamon until the apples are generously coated with
sweetness.
3. Roll out one of the pie crusts and carefully place it onto the pie plate; set aside the second
crust.
4. Transfer the prepared apples from the mixing bowl to the pie plate, shaping them into a
delightful mound. Cover the apples with the remaining crust and delicately pinch together
the top and bottom edges for a perfect seal.
5. Using a fork, create small holes in the top crust to allow the pie to breathe, enhancing its
aroma and flavor.
6. Brush the top crust with a small amount of milk to achieve a beautifully golden-brown
finish.
7. Bake pie for 1 hour at 350ºF.
Bake this delicious apple pie in 7 steps, and earn your real estate license in 7 weeks, it’s that simple!
